When you have voice you are expected to behave at your very best. Voice can be removed at any times. Voice wil be removed if you cannot follow these rules.

All these members of staff can devoice you.

Rules:

If you follow these rules well, you will not get your voiced removed.

Flooding:
All our staff love the old saying "Flooding is lame, any idiot can do it." which is very true. Anyone can go hgfhfhfjhfjhjhgjjhjhgj several times in a room. Do not flood, we will not give idiots voice.

Spam:
Anyone can post off-topic links such as links to FaceBook / Twitter and YouTube. We will not tolerate random posting of personal links. This can be an easy thing to do but we wont tolerate it. Channel spamming like "Join my channel #channel" is another good example.

Do not CTCP/PM/DCC/Notice/Query anyone without prior permission.
If you want to send a private form of message to someone like PM, ask permission first. This is in the GeekShed TOS. You must ask before doing so and you will not get away with "He is my friend."!

Let us Moderate not you.
If your not an op, don't warn people. Voiced users may warn about spamming and capital letters but nothing else. If it is anything else and an op doesn't see it within a minute type !emergency once in the channel.

English Only. No cursing.
This is an English Only channel. If you need other language support then contact iYorkie through Jordan@lockernerd.co.uk. We can translate this. If you need IRC support translate your problem first and have a translator ready for the answer. Cursing or swearing will only turn out <censored>. We wont tolerate cursing.

Trolling, Insulting, Caps.
An Internet troll is someone who posts off topic links, moves people onto the wrong topic, breaks the rules over and over again, makes rude remarks etc. A troll is not someone who uses caps once or insults someone once. Both of these will not be tolerated though.

Illegal Discussion
In the event the topic is something that can drive people to illegal discussions, try to stay legal. We will warn users that drift off into illegal discussions.

Ban Evasion
Evading a ban from the channel is a stupid thing to do. If we see instances of a ban evasion or get enough evidence to prove one we will report it to the network staff. We have 1 member of network staff in the room which could also spot this. This can get you banned from the network.

Long nicks, Annoying Scripts
Long nicks are just to hard to communicate with. If a nick is over 14 characters, the ops will call you by a shorter nickname. If it is over 16 then the ops will tell you to shorten it. Annoying scripts like away scripts will not be allowed on the channel unless said otherwise.

Passing on messages/relaying
If you pass on messages from other users or banned users, You will find yourself banned. The user will find a way of communicating themselves.

Bot Abuse / Bots
Ask iYorkie or Bkil if you can bring in your bot. The answer would probably be No. Do not abuse the bots that are already in there or overuse them. Just leave them alone if you don't need them.
